Depression:

Depression is an illness that negatively impacts how you think, feel, and act. Depression can cause changes in appetite, loss of interest in previously enjoyable activities, depressive feelings, trouble sleeping or sleeping too much, feelings of worthlessness, difficulty concentrating, and thoughts of suicide or death.

Depression, even when severe, is very treatable. Using interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Positive Psychology; clients will gain insight into how their reactions and behaviors influence their depressive thought patterns. Our counselors are ready to support you on your journey to change these thought patterns and embrace a better future.

Anxiety:

Anxiety is an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and physical changes like increased heart rate, shortness of breath, and fatigue. When an individual faces potentially harmful triggers, feelings of anxiety are normal and necessary for survival. However, most modern anxiety triggers involve work, money, family life, health, and other concerns that

require attention without requiring the ‘fight-or-flight’ response.

Fortunately, anxiety can be successfully treated using a range of therapeutic methods. Using Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); clients will learn to challenge thought distortions, embrace their strengths, and focus on the positive future ahead.

Integrated Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (IKAP) is also a treatment option for client’s struggling with depression or anxiety. IKAP is the combination of psychotherapy and an IV ketamine infusion. This process invites neuroplasticity (the ability to change and grow) within the brain's neural connections. This allows clients the ability to process depressive thoughts, embrace change, and focus on hope for the future.
