Daniel Adams, CMHCi
“I think that as human beings we all have the capacity to be mentally healthy. Maybe some of us got beaten down from the difficulties of life and forgot how to cope, and maybe some of us never learned how. Either way, I’m here to help you achieve your mental health goals. You don’t have to take this journey alone.”
About
Daniel is passionate about walking with children, teens, and couples as they navigate trauma, eating disorders, depression, and relationship challenges. His therapeutic style is relaxed and down-to-earth—he believes clients do their best work when they feel safe to be themselves. Daniel lets clients take the lead in therapy, offering steady support, curiosity, and compassion as they move toward the life they’ve always wanted.
Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), play therapy, and expressive arts therapy, Daniel brings a creative and flexible approach to the counseling room. Whether he’s helping a child process emotions through play, guiding a teen through overwhelming thoughts, or supporting a couple working to rebuild trust, Daniel aims to create a space where people feel understood and empowered.
Daniel earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Utah Valley University and his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.
Before becoming a therapist, he spent two years as a Crisis Counselor with the Utah 988 Suicide Hotline. That experience shaped his calm, steady presence and deepened his commitment to helping people through their most difficult moments.
Outside of his work, Daniel is happiest spending time with his wife and their three little girls—usually with some combination of running, music, or imaginative kid adventures in the mix. He plays guitar and clarinet, loves a good video game when life slows down, and is always up for a chance to enjoy the small, meaningful moments of everyday life.
