Trauma / Abuse
Trauma results from exposure to an event or series of events that are emotionally disturbing or life-threatening. Symptoms of trauma may include: shock, irritability, difficulty concentrating, guilt and shame, and feeling disconnected or numb. Trauma can negatively impact relationships and can increase the risk of chronic health conditions.

Trauma requires treatment tailored to the specific needs and symptoms of the client. Therapy for clients with trauma focuses on rebuilding hope for the future, teaching healthy and sustainable coping skills, and improving symptoms such as: nightmares, agitation, flashbacks, anxiety, and depression. Our counselors are trained in Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and ready to assist clients in healing.

Integrated Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (IKAP) is also a treatment option for client’s struggling with trauma. IKAP is the combination of psychotherapy and an IV ketamine infusion. This process invites neuroplasticity (the ability to change and grow) within the brain's neural connections. This allows clients the ability to process trauma, embrace change, and focus on hope for the future.
